The rule of the singles of squash of WSF and
CSRA’s handbook regarding national point system will apply.
Players in order to receive points for
their national ranking should be registered to CSRA.
- Boys and Girls under the ages 13, 15, 17
- Men’s and Ladies Draw.
The Monrad type of draw will be used where
all players will be competing for their final classification.
The Nicosia Squash Open is open to all players
under their age group on 24th March 2018 as appropriate.
Cypriots and Non-Cypriots athletes, permanently
residing in Cyprus (seniors and juniors) are required to hold
a valid health certificate. Visiting players will be exempted
from the obligation to hold a health certificate. Instead should
submit a special form (DISCLAIMER).
Players in order to receive points for their
national ranking should be registered to CSRA.
Trophies will be given to the winner and runner-up
of all categories.
Deadline for submitting entries is Wednesday
7th March, 2018. All entries should be submitted to Nicosia Squash
Late entries or entries received without payment
will not be accepted. The Nicosia Squash Association accepts no
responsibility for non-arrival of entries.
The entry fee is set to €25 for Seniors
and €15 for Juniors per category.
Once an entry has been submitted the fees must
be paid irrespective of whether the player has missed any of his/her
The rankings will be decided by the C.S.R.A.
The seeding of all players will be automatically
set by “Tournament Software” on Sunday March 11th
, 2018 at 8 p.m.
The MONRAD type of draw will be used where all
players will compete for their final classification.
Players enter the Tournament at their own risk.
The Nicosia Squash Association, the Cyprus Squash Association
and the sponsors DO NOT accept any responsibility for either injury
arising from participation, or loss of property in this event.
All matches for the junior events will take
place on weekdays from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from
9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
For the senior events all matches will be held
from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. on Weekdays and from 9:00 am to 7:00 p.m.
Please note that all players should be able
to attend during the above-mentioned hours, because NO changes
of the timetable will be allowed.
All players are requested to turn up fifteen
minutes before their scheduled match time. Players who are more
than 10 minutes late will be disqualified from the tournament.
The finals for all the events will be held on Saturday afternoon.
Every match winner is obliged by the rules of
the tournament to referee one match following their own. Failure
to comply may result to disqualification of the player.
If a player has entered for the tournament does
not show up, or does not play all the matches for final places,
will be banned from participating in the next tournament. In case
the C.S.R.A. receives a doctor’s certificate within 2 days
after the final day of the tournament, the case will be re-examined.
